In 2003, on the basis of acquiring Huanan Sensor Factory, Woodchang established Dongguan Hualanhai Electronics Co., LTD. The company mainly produces high-precision resistance strain gauges for sensors, strain gauges for force measurement and weighing, sensors for daily weighing instruments, portable static and dynamic wheel axle weighing systems for automobiles, high and low-speed dynamic weighing systems, weighing and charging systems, pressure sensors and transmitters, high-temperature melt pressure sensors and their supporting instruments, etc.
However, scientific research is not something that can yield results simply by researchers devoting themselves wholeheartedly; it is subject to various objective constraints. At the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey, Wood often encountered problems such as a shortage of funds, a lack of talents, and a sluggish market. Each problem was like a mountain peak standing on his path forward, requiring him to summon up tenacious perseverance and outstanding wisdom to climb.

With the dual identities of a "Beihang University student" and an "electrical measurement expert", Wood never gives in in the face of difficulties. That year, like most young entrepreneurs, Wood often started everything from scratch, being both a boss and a salesman, a designer, a repairman and a porter... Two years later, Wood Chang's sensor sales were growing steadily. He rose from setbacks and completed the initial accumulation of experience and capital.
On November 4, 2015, Wu Dechang renamed the company "Guangdong South China Sea Electronic Measuring Technology Co Ltd."
